These terms cover flagbeacon.com and its email and text alerts, run by Pearson Smart Homes LLC ("we"). By using the site or signing up for alerts, you agree to them.

What Flag Beacon is

Flag Beacon reports whether flags are at full staff or half-staff, based on official White House and governor notices read by software several times a day. It can be late or wrong. Always defer to the official source, linked on each page. The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

Email alerts

Free. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Text alerts

• What you get: a welcome text, then a text when flags are lowered nationwide or in the states you chose. Message frequency varies with official orders and how many states you follow. Text alerts include the free email alerts.
• Price: $19 per year, charged when you subscribe and again each year until you cancel, plus any sales tax.
• Who sells it: text alerts are sold through Link, the checkout service of our payment provider Stripe, which is the seller of record. Link charges you, collects any sales tax, and emails your receipts and a reminder before each renewal; its purchase terms, shown at checkout, apply to the payment. Your card statement shows LINK.COM* FLAG BEACON.
• Cancel anytime: use Manage text alerts or your Link account at link.com, or reply STOP to any text. Either way you won't be charged again. After cancelling in billing, texts continue until the end of the year you paid for; STOP ends them right away. Reply START to turn them back on for the rest of your paid year.
• Help: reply HELP to any text, or email help@flagbeacon.com.
• Message and data rates may apply. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Text alerts are for US mobile numbers.
• Payments aren't refunded for part of a year. If something went wrong, write to us and we'll make it right; Link can also help with billing questions and refunds.

Limits

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
